Employee Experience Coordinator
Description
The Employee Experience Coordinator is a key cultural ambassador and operational driver for Zazou Salon & Academy, ensuring every touchpoint of the employee journey is positive, inspiring, and aligned with our brand values. This role supports employee engagement, recognition, training logistics, communications, and onboarding—while also assisting with talent recruitment to help us grow an amazing team that reflects our culture and vision.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Develop and execute initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture.
- Plan team-building activities, seasonal celebrations, wellness events, and appreciation days.
- Conduct regular employee check-ins, surveys, and feedback loops to assess morale and opportunities for improvement.
- Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) within team interactions and initiatives.
Talent Recruitment
- Assist with drafting and posting job descriptions that reflect Zazou’s brand voice and values.
- Coordinate interviews, communicate with candidates, and schedule meetings with hiring managers.
- Support outreach strategies to attract diverse and qualified talent (e.g., career fairs, social campaigns, school partnerships).
- Help maintain applicant tracking systems and recruitment records.
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Coordinate and deliver a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
- Maintain onboarding materials, schedules, and training calendars in collaboration with Team Leads and Educators.
- Support respectful and professional offboarding processes including exit interviews and feedback analysis.
Internal Communication
- Manage internal announcements, and bulletin boards to ensure employees are informed and engaged.
- Collaborate with leadership to craft messaging that celebrates milestones, shares updates, and reinforces company culture.
- Maintain employee intranet or communication channels (e.g., Slack, Notion).
Training & Development
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating internal and external training sessions.
- Track attendance, certification progress, and follow-up requirements for education programs.
- Support Learning & Development programs in collaboration with the Academy team.
Recognition & Milestones
- Administer employee recognition programs (e.g., celebrate anniversaries, and birthdays).
- Work with leadership to design thoughtful rewards, gifts, and shout-outs.
Data & Administration
- Maintain up-to-date employee records and organizational charts.
- Track engagement, retention, and exit data to identify trends and improvements.
- Support compliance with HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in Leadership Role, preferably in Hospitality
- HR, employee engagement, or recruitment coordination experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organized with an eye for detail and event planning.
- Empathetic, resourceful, and enthusiastic about team well-being and team growth.
- Proficient in Google Workspace, HRIS tools, and communication platforms.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Background in customer experience or salon/spa operations is an asset.
- Creativity in program and event development.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with initiative to lead.
Compensation
$22.00 per hour
